The Republic Day of India, celebrated every year on January 26th, marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect, replacing the Government of India Act of 1935 and establishing India as a Republic Nation. This year, Anurag Pharmacy College, Kodad, commemorated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Pharmacy Block from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

The celebrations commenced with an inspiring Republic Day rally led by NSS volunteers. This was followed by a heartwarming rendition of patriotic songs performed by students and staff members, filling the air with a sense of national pride. The National Flag was hoisted by the esteemed Principal, Dr. M. ChinnaEswaraiah, who delivered a compelling speech emphasizing the importance of Republic Day for the younger generation and instilling a sense of responsibility towards the nation.

Adding to the patriotic spirit of the event, Dr. B. Raja, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, shared insights into the history and significance of Republic Day, highlighting the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Students and staff members showcased their talents through additional patriotic songs and cultural performances, including dances, which captivated the audience.

To encourage academic and oratory excellence, the college organized essay writing and elocution competitions as part of the celebrations. The winners were awarded prizes for their outstanding performances:

• Runner-Up: B. Suchitra (Pharm D, 4th Year)

Elocution Competition:

• Winner: M. Maduri (Pharm D, 4th Year)
• Runner-Up: Sirisha (B.Pharmacy, 3rd Year)

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. M. ChinnaEswaraiah, Dr. B. Raja, and NSS Programme Officer, Mr. D. Chinnababu, who expressed their appreciation to all participants and organizers. The program ended on a high note with the National Anthem, leaving everyone motivated and inspired by the spirit of unity and patriotism.
