About the Programme:

The programme was extremely helpful for covering the topics related to the increased knowledge and understanding of traditional and holistic healing approaches among faculty members. Improved ability to critically evaluate and incorporate traditional and holistic healing practices into teaching and research activities. Enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration and networking among faculty members from different health care and wellness disciplines

Objectives of the program:

  • The main objective of the programme is to familiarize faculty members with traditional and holistic healing approaches in health care and wellness.
  •  To enhance faculty members & understanding of the principles, techniques, and benefits of traditional and holistic healing practices
  • To achieve optimal health the primary goal of holistic medicine practice by gaining proper balance in life.
  • Healing takes a team approach involving the patient and doctor, and addresses all aspects of a person’s life using a variety of health care practices.

Topics to be covered:

  • Introduction to Traditional and Holistic Healing: Overview of different traditional healing systems and their philosophies (e.g., Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Indigenous Healing practices).
  • Mind-Body Connection: Exploring the mind-body connection and its significance in traditional and holistic healing approaches.
  • Herbal Medicine and Plant-Based Therapies: Understanding the role of herbs and plants in traditional healing systems and their applications in health care.
  • Energy Healing Modalities: Introduction to energy healing practices such as Reiki, acupuncture, and panic healing.
  • Nutrition and Dietary Approaches: Understanding the impact of nutrition and dietary choices on overall health and exploring traditional dietary approaches.
  • Integrative Medicine: Examining the integration of traditional and holistic healing approaches with modern medicine for comprehensive patient care.
