On the occasion of World Pharmacists Day, Anurag Pharmacy College celebrated the invaluable contributions of pharmacists—the professionals who stand at the heart of healthcare. The celebration was held under the guidance of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
Pharmacists are not only medicine experts but also guardians of safety, advisors of wellness, and partners in every step of healthcare.
Program Highlights
Inaugural Session:
The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. M. Chinnaeswaraiah (Principal, Anurag Pharmacy College) and Dr. B. Raja (HOD, Anurag Pharmacy College).
- Dr. Chinnaeswaraiah emphasized the role of pharmacists in ensuring the Right drug, Right dose, and Right person, underlining their critical importance in healthcare.
- Dr. B. Raja highlighted the relevance of this year’s theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist” and the growing need for pharmacists in modern healthcare systems.
Interactive Sessions:
Engaging discussions were organized with active student participation, covering the following key areas
- Ensuring the Right drug, Right dose, Right person
- Manufacturing and ensuring the quality of medicines
- Supporting doctors with expert medication knowledge
- Empowering patients to use medicines safely
- Preventing risks and promoting overall health

1. Pharma Quiz Competition:
Participants: Pharm D & B.Pharm students

- Runners: Ch. Bhavitha (Pharm D), Sk. Kareena (B.Pharm)
2. Singing Competition:
- Winner: Kotta Pallavi (Pharm D)
- Runner: G. Sai Teja (B.Pharm)
3. Essay Writing Competition:
- Winner: Sk. Ashriya Firdose (Pharm D)
- Runner: Sk. Lubna Nurain (B.Pharm)
Students also actively participated in oral presentations, essay competitions, and cultural performances, showcasing both academic and creative talents.
Conclusion
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by students A. Vedasri and K. Kavya, appreciating the active participation of students and faculty in making the event successful.
The celebration reinforced the message that pharmacists are an essential bridge between medicine and patient care—ensuring safety, promoting health, and contributing to the well-being of society.
