Anurag Pharmacy College successfully organized a Seminar on "Gender Sensitization" on 29th July 2026 at the college seminar hall with the objective of creating awareness about gender equality, promoting mutual respect, and encouraging students to become responsible and socially conscious citizens.

The seminar was conducted in line with the objectives envisioned by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to promote gender equality and build an inclusive educational environment. The program focused on enhancing students' understanding of gender sensitivity, challenging stereotypes, and encouraging positive attitudes that contribute to an equitable society.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by Prof. M. Chinnaeswaraiah, Principal of Anurag Pharmacy College, who emphasized the importance of gender sensitization in creating a progressive and inclusive society. He highlighted that gender equality is not merely a social responsibility but a fundamental requirement for sustainable national development.

Dr. B. Raja, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering and explained how education serves as one of the most powerful tools for empowering individuals, particularly women, by equipping them with knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to actively participate in the nation's development.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Pharmacy students, especially second-year students, who delivered informative PowerPoint presentations and seminars on various contemporary issues related to gender equality and social justice. The session was highly interactive, encouraging meaningful discussions between students and faculty members. K. Prasanna, Assistant Professor, and D.
